On behalf of our client, we are hiring for the above role for the client with Four star hotel in the heat of Arusha.

 

Position Summary Overview:

 

Hotel general maintenance staff ensure the physical facilities, systems, and equipment of a hotel are in good working order to provide a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for guests and staff. Key responsibilities include repairing and maintaining systems like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, general upkeep such as fixing broken tiles or painting, and assisting with installations. This role is crucial for guest satisfaction and requires strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.  

 

Key Responsibilities

 

System Maintenance: 

Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing critical systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems. 

 

General Repairs: 

Fixing issues like leaking faucets, broken light fixtures, loose handrails, and damaged floors or walls. 

 

Equipment Upkeep: 

Ensuring all appliances, kitchen equipment, and technical equipment (like TVs and Wi-Fi systems) are functioning correctly. 

 

Preventive Maintenance: 

Performing routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent issues and ensure the longevity of hotel assets. 

 

Guest Room & Facility Checks: 

Inspecting guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs before they become major problems. 

 

Installation of New Equipment: 

Assisting with the installation of new equipment and systems, such as new windows or light fixtures. 

 

Essential Skills

 

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of how to use various tools and equipment to perform repairs. 

Problem-Solving: The ability to quickly assess issues and find effective solutions. 

Communication: Clearly communicating with guests and other hotel staff to report and resolve issues. 

Attention to Detail: Noticing small details that can prevent larger problems.

Adaptability: Being able to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to new challenges.
