About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, service-driven Assistant Camp Manager to join our management team at a luxury safari camp in the Serengeti.
The ideal candidate will support the Camp Manager in delivering an exceptional guest experience, maintaining world-class hospitality standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all departments.
This position is ideal for someone with proven experience in luxury hospitality or safari lodge management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for nature and guest service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Camp Manager in daily operations across all departments – front of house, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, and guest activities.
Maintain the highest level of personalized guest service, ensuring every stay exceeds expectations.
Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver professional, efficient, and friendly service.
Oversee property appearance, cleanliness, and maintenance standards.
Manage inventory, stock control, and procurement processes.
Support budgeting, cost control, and administrative reporting.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Coordinate guest activities and experiences in partnership with guides and rangers.
Represent the Camp Manager in their absence.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role at a luxury lodge, camp, or 5-star hotel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (fluent English required; Swahili an advantage).
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with property management systems and MS Office.
Familiarity with bush or remote camp operations is highly desirable.
Must be willing to live on-site in a remote setting.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
