CAMP MANAGER

Key Areas of Responsibility
· Oversee all daily operations of the camp.
· Ensure all departments function efficiently and in coordination.
· Maintain high hospitality and service standards.
· Ensure smooth guest arrival, stay, and departure experiences.
· Welcome and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction.
· Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally.
· Ensure personalized guest experiences.
· Monitor service quality in accommodation, dining, and activities.
· Supervise all camp staff and department heads.
· Coordinate staff schedules and work assignments.
· Conduct regular team meetings and briefings.
· Ensure staff performance and discipline standards are maintained.
· Support staff training and development.
· Coordinate activities between departments including housekeeping, kitchen, and guest services.
· Monitor occupancy levels and operational readiness.
· Ensure adequate staffing and supplies for operations.
· Manage logistics related to guest activities and transport.
· Monitor operational expenses and budgets.
· Control operational costs while maintaining service quality.
· Oversee purchasing and stock control.
· Ensure proper financial reporting when required.
· Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and camp property.
· Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Ensure emergency procedures are understood and followed.
· Monitor environmental conservation practices.
· Ensure all camp facilities are well maintained.
· Coordinate repairs and maintenance work.
· Monitor equipment and infrastructure condition.
· Ensure guest areas remain clean, functional, and attractive.
· Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and camp supplies.
· Coordinate with procurement teams or suppliers.
· Ensure efficient use of resources to minimize waste.
· Prepare operational reports for management.
· Monitor staff attendance and performance.
· Ensure proper documentation of guest records and camp activities.
Required Qualifications
· Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or related field.
· Training in hospitality operations or lodge management preferred.
· Minimum 5–8 years' experience in hospitality operations.
At least 4 years in a camp/lodge management role.
Experience working in remote safari camps or lodges preferred.
