On behalf of our client in the Hospitality industry we are hiring for a well experienced Room Attendant to join our client team in Arusha City.

Position Summary Overview:

We will be hire you as a room Attendant, or housekeeping attendant, cleans and maintains guest rooms and public areas in our hotel or similar expecting you to ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and a comfortable environment for guests. Other key duties include making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, restocking amenities like towels and toiletries, and removing trash. The role also involves reporting maintenance issues, adhering to health and safety standards, and providing polite customer service to guests.  

 

Job Type: Full Time

Qualification: Certificate/Diploma in Hotel Management

Experience: 5 Years as Room Attendant

Salary: Negotiable

Core Responsibilities:

v  Cleaning and Tidying: Expected to manage dusting of surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and polishing furniture. 

v  Linen and Towel Service: Qualified candidate will be responsible in changing bed linens and replacing used towels with fresh ones. 

v  Restocking Amenities: You will be required to replenishing guest rooms with necessary supplies, such as toiletries, soaps, shampoos, coffee, and water bottles. 

v  Waste Removal: Manage on daily basis emptying garbage cans and disposing of trash. 

v  Reporting Issues: You will be expected to identify and reporting any damages, maintenance needs (e.g., a burnt-out light bulb), or missing items to the appropriate department. 

v  Guest Assistance: Responding courteously to guest requests, such as providing extra towels or information, and maintaining a friendly demeanor. 

v  Maintaining Standards: Adhering to hotel procedures and health and safety regulations to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety in rooms and public areas.

A room attendant must work quickly to complete tasks within assigned timeframes.

For managing cleaning carts, supplies, and an assigned workload effectively.

Room attendants often work as part of a larger housekeeping team and need to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
