MyDoom was named by Craig Schmugar, an employee of computer security firm McAfee and one of the earliest discoverers of the worm. Schmugar chose the name after noticing the text "mydom" within a line of the program's code. He noted: "It was evident early on that this would be very big. I thought having 'doom' in the name would be appropriate."[5]
From the LAN workstation I can 'telnet 192.168.0.2 5232'. I cannot do 'telnet caldavserver.mydom.org 5232' from the LAN. I can do that from an external computer. port 5232 is in the Services Group for 192.168.0.2. The puzzling thing is that all other ports in the Service Group can use the FDQN to connect to this host.
