Flights to Tanisha's Wedding

Hi Girls,

I know we were planning flights to the wedding, but since the venue is 40 mins from the Albany airport I wanted to coordinate times so we can share cabs (reduce costs). Let me know if any of you plan on getting there Thursday or Friday and what time.

I think my flight times will be the following:

Arrive into Albany at 4:35 PM on Thursday 8/29

Leave Albany at 5:10 PM on Sunday 9/1

Btw - I called the Sagamore because apparently they may have some transportation. I will let you all know when I hear back (I left them a message :) )

Great call on contacting the Sagamore to see if there is transportation. I will also be flying into VT and someone driving up to the location. But, I'll keep you posted if anything changes.

So the transportation guy from the sagamore called me back and left a voicemail it's $150 each way to the airport and back! Ahhhh

Yah that's what I'm thinking but I wonder how much it costs to rent a car for 3 nights? Also if anyone gets in on Thursday into albany let me know bc that might make life easier

It's about $30/day to rent a car directly from the airport. May be a good option, especially if some of you split it depending on your itineraries.

Good news. I called the Albany airport and their taxis are actually vans which hold up to 6 people. He said it is $132 to Sagamore but there is no extra charge for people. So hypothetically if even 4 of you shared the cab, it's about $30/person which is not bad. If it is 5 or 6 then it is cheaper. You can talk to the dispatcher at 518-242-4222 if you want to talk directly. You do not need to book ahead of time.

There is also a bus which goes from the airport to Lake George which is $13.50/person. The bus does not take you to the resort but it takes you to the Lake George area, so you could also take the bus and then cab it the rest of the way. You would need to look at its timings.

You can call the Albany Airport at 518-242-2200 and talk to the ground transportation people. Hope that helps!
