Hi all,
Tonight (May 17) is the 1st class of new 5-wk "Social Tango-1" Group Class series. This is an all levels class and tango dancers of all levels have been attending the series to either start learning tango or to refine their foundational skills. Beginners are required to sign up for the full series (5-weeks), more experienced dancers can join this class any time.
Class will be followed by the
guided practica: "PracticaVita". Private lessons can be scheduled if your schedule does not allow you to join the group classes or if you have specific topics of interest that would like to work on.

OTHER TANGO EVENTS in the TRIANGLE:
* Friday, Milonga @ Open EYE Cafe in Carrboro,
8:00-9:00 Intro lesson,
9:00 - 11:30 Milonga (Social dance)
I will be DJing and Pam Taylor will be hosting the event.
*Sunday, Milonga @ Metro 8 in Durham, organized & DJed by Eduardo Lazarowski
7:00 - 10:00 Milonga
You may join the tango group(s) for an early dinner and enjoy Metro 8's specialties.
I would like to remind all those who are taking classes and attending practicas that the main goal for all this effort is to transfer your skills to the milonga floor for some quality fun time.
I can't help it but wonder "If you do not attend milongas, why would you want to learn tango?" and there may be some interesting answers out there :-) Well, just let me/us know if your answer could serve as a feedback to milonga organizers because we have been discussing the potential reasons why hardly earned access to venues like Open Eye, Metro 8, Parizade and just recently Vita is not being appreciated by the tango community as demonstrated by the declining attendance at milongas in the Triangle (a trend that started well before summer months, so, "summer" and "the appeal of the beach" are perhaps not the common reasons :-) ).
Please feel free to contact me at:

Pleasant tango experiences to all,
