Moonlight Tango Winter Festival 12 – 14 August 2022
Come join us for the first ever Moonlight Tango Winter Festival. This festival experience in the heart of Brisbane offers:
- 3 elegant milongas at the grand City Hall, featuring a performance by the Brisbane Tango Orchestra, music to keep us dancing by DJ Jose (Melbourne) and DJ Anthony (Sydney) and performances to inspire us by Rina and Nadim Sawaya (Tango Esencia, Melbourne) and Jose and May (Brisbane);
- an after-party milonga at Evita restaurant with DJ Wendy and live music cortinas by Eddie Gazani & Co;
- lessons to expand our tango horizons with Rina and Nadim Sawaya (Tango Esencia, Melbourne) and Jose and May (Brisbane); and
- a special pre-festival class and practica with Greg and Rosemary (E-tango, Brisbane) to get us primed for the weekend.
And we can enjoy all this knowing that we are supporting Parkinson's Queensland.
Please note that festival milonga tickets and festival tango lessons tickets are being sold separately.
We understand that balanced milongas are more enjoyable, which is why we have staggered the release of milonga tickets. Couples tickets are available. Tickets for single leaders are on sale now and tickets for single followers from 13 June. If you don’t want to wait, we encourage you to partner up.
Tickets for tango lessons are also available now. Due to the importance of balanced classes, we ask you to sign up with a dance partner. If you would like to take the classes but don't have a dance partner, please fill out an expression of interest and we will do our best to partner you with someone.
