The cool days and cold nights make for cosy dance weather…get out there if you can….
From Jan:
La Bohemia Marathon was an amazing success. There were 144 participants from all over Australia and we raised over $9000 to donate to 'Women Up North Housing' (Lismore Flood Appeal)
The whole event was organised by Tango Dancers from Byron Bay.
Congratulations to everyone who volunteered to make this such a wonderful tango weekend. Many of the guests said it was the best tango weekend they had ever attended.

Sunshine Coast Monthly Milonga and Workshop
Anatomy of Dance: Stability before Power Workshop by Patrick Shwaluk, Doctor of Chiropractic from 4.00pm - 5.30pm
This 1.5 hr workshop focuses on the stability, strength and the ballistric power required to execute core tango skills: coladas, volcadas, back sacadas, enrosques. If you struggle with the elegant execution of any of the above, this class is for you. Be prepared to take your shoes off and roll on the floor, bring a couple of yoga mats if you have them.

Donations to support the Brisbane Tango Orchestra: MT Inc have started a project on the Australian Cultural Fund to assist with the creation of the BTO and bring them to MTWF. They are young, motivated, and need all our help to give us what we have always wanted: ongoing live music, cultural diversity, great sound, amazing memories, long nights of dancing with our friends. Ultimately, this is your chance to make a statement about culture and lifestyle in Brisbane. Oh yes, and don’t forget donations are tax deductible!
