Tango meets Jazz

Dance inside and outside on the Brisbane River. Seats are still available outside so book at www.brisbanejazzclub.com.au or call  3391 2006. Doors open 6.30pm, show starts 7.30pm. Food and drinks available.

Diez Cuerdas (Ten Strings) is a Brisbane based Tango Duo with Violinist Liz Young (Mendoza Tango Quartet) and Guitarist Rory Dollard (Cigany Weaver). The intricate interplay between the two combines to echo the lively, passionate sounds of the traditional Tango orchestra. They will be joined for this performance by Solange Lipcin on vocals. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and now based in Brisbane, she is the lead vocalist of Mendoza Tango Quartet.

The trio are delighted to bring you an evening journeying through origins of tango to the contemporary stylings. Staying true to the performance of tango, the night will be accompanied with dancers and a special dance performance by Chris Han and Annie Hill.

Pasion de Tango Milonga

Pasion de Tango will have a Milonga every 3rd Saturday of the month.

It will start from October 16th, 2021, from 7pm till 11pm.

The Milonga will be held at the Glass House Mountain Community Hall, it has a lovely dance floor.

Glass House Mountain Community Hall, 8 Coonowrin Rd, Glass House Mountains.

Unfortunately, because of Covid, dancers will have to bring their own drinks and nibbles.

The cost is $12 per person.

Pure Milonguero Milonga

Where: Bulimba Community Centre, 1 Barramul St, Bulimba

When: Introductory class at 7.00pm, Dance from 7.30pm – 11pm

Entry: $15

We will operate under the Ausdance Industry Covid Safe Plan for "Recreational Structured Partner Dancing"

·       Food and drink service are still not allowed.  BYO drinks (including water).

·       NO coffee / snack van this time – bring your own snacks and drinks.

·       Register with the ‘Check in QLD’ app

·       Have the COVID safe app running while at the venue.

For lovers of Classic Tango music and Buenos Aires style tango dance. Everyone is welcome to come in and dance, watch or listen to great Tango.
