Dear Tangonuts,

Well it would seem that most news is actually in upcoming events with workshops and new milonga initiatives. But for this week shake you shimmy at red hill technica tonight. Friday take your pick of Las joyas or Love St, its a shame we have to choose!! Then Saturday you’ll have to go all the way to Cool Coolangatta for a fix, as nothing on in Brisbane!Sigh...... However a huge injection of tango at Wellers Hill to tie us over or head to Byron for Jans rubby dub dub Buddah bar milonga. Please read all the guff below re upcoming milongas and pencil in the ever decreasing time slots due to the merry seasons approach. Remember bookings for the visiting teachers coming up shortly in December! AHHHH better brush off my santa sack! Looking forward to seeing everyone hopefully Sunday.

Our theme for this month’s Thursday Technica & Practica : Boleos & ganchos !

Time to focus on boleo and gancho technique. In these sessions you’ll discover or re-discover the many delights that musical and stylistic variations of these 2 iconic tango forms can bring to your tango repertoire.

St Barnabas Hall, Red Hill. Prac from 7 pm and technica from 7:30 – 9 pm,with more practice time afterwards.

with visiting guests from Buenos Aires... Pablo Tamburini and Ines Rossetti... who will present 4 workshops

THURSDAY 5th Dec 5pm-7pm at Bangalow Bowls Club there will be a WELCOME PRACTICA to meet and greet our guests (everybody is welcome)

SATURDAY 7th Dec Workshops at the Byron Scout Hall

11.30 am -1 pm Tango elements, embrace, communication, dynamics.

1.45 pm -3.15 pm Special giro technique.

3.45 pm -5.15 pm Fluidity in the axis alterations during the dance.

Saturday the 23rd of November, Special event not to be missed!!
La Milonga's very first Tango Competition, in Tango Nuevo style.
Winner of First place will receive $200.00 in prize money.
Held at, The Southport Community Centre, 6 Lawson St Southport.
Studio 1 and 2 will be combined together for this special night.

Alma de Tango

Our planned first Milonga for 2013 will take place on the Saturday 23^rd of November from 8:30 pm till late.

The idea is to keep it on every 4^th Saturday of each month.

The Venue is our Studio premises: 45 Balaclava Street, upstairs, Woolloongabba. Street parking conditions are excellent around the place.

It is a BYO drink (however non-alcoholic European and South American drinks can be purchased inside the Studio).
