We also have the pleasure of hosting El Pibe Sarandi for a guest lesson before the milonga. Improver / Intermediate Only.
A unique chance to meet a part of Buenos Aires Tango - a genuine milonguero of the 1950s with Tango Ritmico in his veins.
El Pibe Sarandi (the kid from Sarandi) grew up with the tango of the Golden Age of the 40s and, like many others of that generation, began to dance as a youngster in the practicas, in the street, in the rough cafes and bars of their barrio. This was long before there was such a thing as a tango teacher or a proper school so the best dancers developed their improvised style with others of their area, leading to the unique barrio styles across the greater Buenos Aires region. El Pibe went to his first public milonga in 1955 and began working professionally in 1964 with the great Carlos Gavito. Over these 60 years of Tango he has amassed a wealth of personal experience of the authentic social dance and brings a unique Porteño personality to his teaching.
This unmissable class will start at 1:30pm til 3pm, £8 on the door.
@ Braunstone West Social Centre.
