Dear algecan developers, first of all many thanks for your great job.

I have a code in Fortran for the optimization problem I want to solve that is working fine, and I would like to integrate it now
as part of another code, that I can write in R or Matlab. I've seen that there are interfaces for previous versions of Algecan (although
I don't know where to find them) but no interfaces for the current version for these languages.

Could you please let me know what would be the best strategy for me to follow?

Thanks in advance

Alf

Dear Alf,

Thank you very much for email and for your interest in our work.

In fact, the latest version of Algencan has interfaces with Fortran, C, and AMPL only. (Very recently, an inteface with Julia has been developed).

Interfaces with R, Matlab, and several other langauges were discontinued; but they are still avaliable for previous versions of Algencan. The previous versions of Algencan can be found in the TANGO Project web page and the inetrfaces are distribued together with Algencan (see the README file in the distribution).

If using one of those discontinued interfaces is required, you should consider to use a previous version of Algencan.

I hope it helps.

Regards,
Ernesto.

Dear Ernesto, thanks for the prompt answer.

That's a pity, I have already a functional code in the 3.0 version (I have global variables in modules in f90 which in f77 is annoying to handle with commons). I would
like to encourage you to continue with other interfaces although Julia sounds great (is it already available to download?), it may be a good excuse for me to learn Julia!

Thanks for your help,

AP

Ernesto.
