to TANGO Project - ALGENCAN
Hi. I would like to announce the availability of a new Algencan interface for the Julia language and its JuMP library to model optimization problems.

Julia is a new language that tries to bridge the gap between scripting and compiled languages. It allowed the creation of a new optimization modelling system called JuMP. JuMP is free software and is able to use automatic differentiation, similarly to AMPL. Julia has also many other packages for the modelling and solution of optimization problems. See details in the JuliaOpt web page.

I have now written a Algencan wrapper that allows one to use it to solve JuMP models. The project page name is Algencan.jl. It can be easily installed using Julia's package system and even allow for easy compilation of Algencan with HSL's MA57 if you can provide the sources for this library. See details in the project web page. I tested the installation in my Linux machine and it should work in any Linux system that has configure, make, gcc and gfortran available. It might work in Mac OS X, but I can not test as I don't have a Mac. I also plan to port the build system to Windows, but this is work for the future.

Please, try it and if you find any problems, open an issue in the GitHub page.
