Problem with R interface

Hello all,

Does anyone can help me on compiling Algencan to R interface. I tried to follow the steps from the README file however from the beginning I have this type of error:

 > make algencan-r

Error: unexpected symbol in "make algencan"

Hello Tony,
thanks for your interest in algencan.
You should type "make algencan-r" outside R.
The program MAKE should be installed and also the required compilers and
libraries.
Then just type "make algencan-r" from your terminal command line (inside
the directory where you unpacked algencan).
