It would be good to have true starting values show up in HTML and not require JavaScript to view any variable value at all.

i.e., let's not cut out NoScript users, who are going to tend to be more analytical in the first place. (At least they questioned the validity of running javascript by default, so they might question whatever they're reading --- i.e., be the desired active listening group.)
