Play is affirming because it allows us to enter a natural, safe, and caring environment in which we freely explore our inner thinking and desires.
The book will guide educators, administrators, and faculty through a series of comprehensive steps that will shift their thinking surrounding adult play. It is designed to give administrators, associations, and community agencies a blueprint to redesign programs to increase creativity and innovation, and ultimately drive system change.
Just Play is a Football for Good programme that promotes learning through play, integrating messages of health, gender equality, social inclusion, safeguarding, play and physical activity through active and fun participation in football.
Football is popular, accessible, and profound in its ability to connect people and places. Seen as an incredibly powerful platform, through which to facilitate the promotion of social change, football and sport for development programmes are recognised as a low-cost, high impact tool to supporting the achievement of global development priorities.
The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) focuses on sport for development as part of its overall strategy to build stronger, healthier communities and address social issues affecting young people in the Pacific region.
With obesity and diabetes on the rise, research indicates that only 18% of children in Fiji, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu attend regular physical education classes, with fewer than 20% of children in these countries playing for 60 minutes or more a day. More than 50% of children choose soft drinks instead of water, which contributes to weight gain. More than 25% of children present as overweight and obese as early as 13 years of age.
Children with disabilities experience discrimination, exclusion and social barriers, and girls are marginalised and face inequalities in education, decision-making processes and access to health services.
Protection risk factors are high. More than 40% of children reportedly miss school and 35% of children report that their parents or guardians do not know what their offspring are doing or where they are during their free time.
Between 2009 and 2017, the Pacific region was affected by 44 natural disasters. Vanuatu and Fiji were hit by category 5 tropical cyclones in 2015 and 2016 that affected nearly one million people, including 450,000 children. Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu accounted for 30 of 44 natural disasters that struck the region, with children constituting on average between one third and one half of the people most severely affected.
Through the provision of structured sport for development interventions, the OFC seeks to reduce risk factors associated with NCDs, child protection, gender and social inequality. These efforts were extended to humanitarian response with the success of the Just Play emergency programme.
Working with key delivery partners such as the Australian government, Football Federation Australia, the New Zealand government, UEFA Foundation for Children and UNICEF Pacific, the OFC seeks to build confidence in children and teenagers and provide access to quality sports activities, educational platforms, advocacy campaigns and public dialogue through active participation.
With a ball, a coach and a safe space to play, the Just Play programme delivers football in combination with life skills messages aimed to build stronger, healthier individuals, communities and nations by addressing social issues affecting children and teenagers in the Pacific and beyond.
Recognising that football for development programmes are designed to champion a learning through sport approach, the Just Play programme provides an ideal platform through which to enhance positive behaviour, develop fundamental life skills and promote action-oriented learning.
Just Play is supporting the upskilling of teachers and community volunteers to enable them to deliver programme activities that facilitate capacity building, ownership and accountability in social change through a community based, child-centred approach.
Just Play has a positive impact on children and teenagers through a sport-based curriculum that enables them to develop the life skills necessary to make consistent, long-term healthy lifestyle choices that promote health and wellness, gender equality, social inclusion and child protection, including in post- emergency contexts.

You cannot do any of these things unless you have developed a sense of self-awareness, but doing an internal audit is often one of the last things a team will do. Coaches and players often prefer to focus on external factors during a game: What kind of D should we play? How can we improve our endzone offense? How can we stop getting broken?
Answer A represents the players who think they have nothing to worry about. They may be already calculating their margin of victory or how long a bye they can get if they finish quickly. Their warm-up, if they even do one, is brief and half-hearted. No line is called; the first seven out there can play.
Taking any opponent lightly is a huge tactical error for two reasons. First of all, a team that you have repeatedly crushed will often come out fired up. How many times have you seen the situation where one team assumes that they will win easily and then find themselves down 8-4 at half?
I am skipping over B and going directly to C, as that often happens when you start out in A. I call this the Doom Scenario, because it is very difficult to turn around. It is also exceedingly common, which means you will have many opportunities to face this situation in your career.
B is the correct answer. This is where everyone wants to be at the beginning of every game, every time. If you are in good nervous, you are excited to play and ready to go. Your team has had a strong warm-up, with lots of noise. Everyone has broken a sweat during drills and you are energized to do your best as a team.
If your team is in good nervous, and you can maintain it throughout the game, anything is possible. Your legs feel light and you can run for days. You throw and catch calmly and efficiently. The field becomes clear and easily readable, whether you are on O or D. Good things happen and sometimes great things happen. Your team has entered Peak Performance, also known as the Zone, and your team should want to do anything it can to get there and stay there.
Being aware of how you are feeling does not make you a weak athlete. On the contrary, knowing how your mental game is affecting your physical performance is a sign of strength. Identifying and improving your level of nervousness will not fix all your problems, but it will, probably more than anything, give you the opportunity to correct poor performance mid-game. And after that, anything can happen.

@Janejav, assuming you have Autonomy on (which I think is default), you can just control one Sim and leave the other Sim to their own devices. They won't always make the best choices, though. For example, they might have low Bladder, but decide to have a glass of water. Or they will be hungry, but instead of selecting the food your other Sim made, they will eat a quick meal of cereal from the fridge! But they will try to take care of themselves. You can always try it out and see if this suits you.
To check or change the Autonomy level in your game, in the upper right corner there are 3 dots -- click on them. Then choose "Game Options" from the list. Then from that screen on the left side choose "Gameplay". On the Gameplay screen there will be an "Autonomy" section that should say either "Full" or "Off" on it. Click on that to change it. Then in the very bottom right corner click "Apply Changes".
Finally, if this isnt' good enough for you, there might be some Mods out there that would have to do with this. I don't know, since I don't' play with Mods (too much trouble to upkeep them for me! But many people use them. Just beware that every time EA updates the game with a patch, the Mods will be outdated until the Modders update them to work with EA's new patch! )
