I have written a web application to grease the wheels of the local
used book market a little. The system allows you to post books for
sale, search for a book to buy, revoke forsale offers, etc. In
response to recent whining, the interface is extra-simple and,
interestingly, looks best in Lynx.
Problem is that I need a place to put this little application. I live
off-campus, so my machine is right out. I need a kind soul to donate
space on a webserver that meets these requirements:
Attached to campus network
Runs a unix variant
Runs Apache 1.3b3 or 1.3b5
Runs or can run mod_perl 1.x (needs perl 5.004)
Runs or can run mSQL or other DB with a DBI interface
Expected load is anybody's guess. The scripts are very light, and
there aren't any graphics, etc. to bog the web server too much. DB
traffic could be a problem on questionable filesystems.
If anybody is feeling generous, drop me a note at j...@tamu.edu. A
complete run-down of the required software follows.
Cheers,
Jeffrey
