Here's the problem that the Ruby User Group is doing for this month's Coder Night. I think this would be a lot of fun to do for Python group.

Typically, the Ruby User Group submits their code via git and allow everyone a week to look at submissions, then during the meetup each solution is brought up and critiqued. It's a very positive event and fun.
