Howdy Pythonista!
I run the local arm of 8th Light - a software company based out of
Chicago. Every week on Fridays we do a thing called 8th Light
University, where we open our office at lunch time for free food, and
an engaging talk from a guest speaker or one of our craftsman.
On June 7th, we have an open slot that we were thinking about doing
lightning talks, but I thought it would be awesome to see if someone
from the Python community would be willing to come in an do a talk on
Python. We spend a lot of our time in Ruby and Clojure, and we get
people from many different industries, so it would be great to hear
the Python story.
If anyone is interested - it's in Carrollwood at noon on Friday, and
we provide lunch! We also open our space for coworking in the
afternoon (that's our open-source innovation time), so you'd be more
than welcome to hang out.
And even if you can't speak, feel free to stop in! Just be sure to
register at
http://8th-light-tampa.gathers.us/events so we know how
much food to order.
Thanks!
Cory
