This Sunday, May 22, 2011, Tampa Shakha will be from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Tampa Academy Classic Martial Art (4513 Gunn Hwy., Tampa, FL 33624). There will be a special boudhik by Mr. Stephen Knapp (an authority in Hinduism) starting at 11:00am. For more details about Mr. Knapp, please see the web address mentioned below. Please attend shakha and bring your friends and family.

The Hindu Temple of Florida (5503 Lynn Road, Tampa, FL) is celebrating its 15th anniversary this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Please check the details below for all 3 days of activities.

Ø  Satyanarayana Pooja performed individually by students of all ages under the guidance of the priest with interpretations in English.  All pooja items to be provided by the temple FREE.

Ø  Initiated by Swami Prabhupada, Stephen Knapp (aka Sri Nandanandana Dasa) from Detroit, Michigan, has travelled to India over 16 times to study Veda, Yoga, temples, Hindu culture, and history. He is a prolific writer of books and articles. Books include: ‘Why be a Hindu’, ‘The Heart of Hinduism’, ‘Vedic Prophecies’, ‘Crimes against India’, etc. Published articles include, ‘Why all religions are NOT the same’, ‘Giving Vedic culture to the Next Generation’, ‘American Hindus: How to cultivate your culture in America’, etc. He is also the founder of Vedic Friends Association (www.vedicfriends.org) and The World Relief Network. He has lectured and presented at colleges, universities, Hindu organizations, and Temples throughout India, USA, and elsewhere (www.stephen-knapp.com). This will be a very enlightening presentation and discourse. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE.
