This is a follow up and an update to the call for potential bone marrow donors.

 

 The bone marrow transplant support group will be at ICC on Sunday 8/14/2011 from 10AM to 6PM. 

 

All Indians in Tampa Bay area are invited to come to ICC and are asked to allow the team of volunteers to "swab" the inside of their cheeks. It is pain less and takes no more than 5 seconds. The genetic material from the swab will allow the lab to determine if there is match between the donor and Anand Patel- the patient at Moffitt with leukemia. ICC is hosting the FIA Independence Celebration during these hours as well.

 

There is no need for blood products at this time- so blood donation is not necessary.

 

 Please forward this to your friends and have them stop by ICC on Sunday.
