General meeting notes

In the meeting, we discussed classes for June- I’ve already submitted two classes myself and scheduled the next general meeting for June 8. At this point the calendar for June needs to be together by the May 25, We’ll be hitting up several people (the usual suspects) to possibly teach classes in June. Also, Ashley Porter who does the “making a difference” segment on Channel 10 News has expressed some interest in doing a story on Free Skool- so I’ll be forwarding her the calendar as soon as it’s put together.

Since Avi and Mari are going to be leaving town for a while we'll have to talk to someone else about maintaining the Web Site. Sarah has someone in mind who may be able to do it. Also, Cindi is going to be out of town periodically in June, so we'll have to pick up some of the social media duties.

We also asked whether or not we were interested in doing anything in conjunction with the RNC in August. I know that the Roosevelt is planning some things with Indie-Media. And that The Lake House group is planning some support for protestors etc. We’ll have to decide soon if we’re going to be doing anything ourselves, or if we’re going to have a presence with any of these other groups that are coming into town.
