Hello Everyone,

Avi was able to download all the information from our old website.  He has graciously offered to help make the transition from x10host to a new site. The class submission forms and all other contents are ready for upload into a new host.  I've been told that the group is now ready to commit to a paid hosting service.

The money required for the 1st year should not be a problem.  Money raised from the Kaleisia Fundraise Friday back in April will sufficiently cover the first 12 months.  We do need to figure out a system to collect fund for the following year.

I am currently using Bluehost.com and like them alot.  Before Avi move our old site into Bluehost.com, I would like to open the floor for suggestion on hosting service.  If you like another company and prefer using them, please send this information over.

If you have any other suggestion about the Tampa Free Skool, please also comment on this thread.

I have no preference as I know nothing of hosting and am willing to pitch in to a fund to keep hosting next year. Just tell me where we want the money!

Same here, We can pitch in, or we could even do some mini-fundraisers and pass the ol' colection plate.

i have free hosting with mayfirst.org for occupy tampa, and i can host other domains on it. it has way more features than most even expensive services. actually it's already set up to accept requests for tampafreeskool.org back when i was talking to mary mac about website stuff.

the other host i'd recommend, that's also free, and better than most paid services, is 000webhost

I would prefer to go with a low-cost paid host that is not tied to anyone's personal account. Having a free host before was what led to the service outage. The TFS website needs to autonomous, accessible, and transferable. Also, once the website is returned to its original state, we need to have a meeting to discuss what upgrades or additional functions the group would like the website to have or do.
Cheers,
Sarah

Unless anyone knows of something better then I recommend someone registers with 000webhost

Kim recommended the host that she uses for Kaleisia's site. I'd say since it's been tried and proved true that's a good idea.
