They are - but the walkie-talkies aren't a bad idea either, just in
case we're in an area of bad reception, of if you're a cheap ass
bastard like myself.

I believe I've got some at home from the last time we traveled - they
can do channels as I recall (though I'll have to look up the manual),
so if Mr. Pullen has his, perhaps I can get mine synced to his. The
range isn't too far, but really we only need it for a few miles.

But also - have a list of everyone's number in your cell phone too,
just in case.

I found them! And they still work. I can even change the channels,
like I do with the TV whenever someone puts on The View (shudder).
