My thanks to all of you for pulling together to attend the Rally for
Reason. I know the drive up and down was long, that likely everyone
(including myself) had moments of "are we there yet?" and "my back, my
back is killing me."
But in the end, everything pulled together, everyone gave it their
best, and I think we all had a good time. Some went just because it
was a good time, some went to hear Stewart/Colbert's act and perhaps
to something greater than themselves. See the way that Americans of
all ages and backgrounds can for one second just stand together and
say "Hey. Nice to see you, whether we agree or not."
If we ever do this again, I know we'll do it better having learned
things like "only 6 people per van!" and "really, leave *early* to go
to the national mall before the damn Metro gets filled up."
No matter what, it was a pleasure to be with you, to spend time with
you, to go through the ups and the downs.
Catch you online, in person, or whenever the fates bring us back
together. Enjoy.
John
