pyMCUThe Python Controlled Microcontroller.

$24.95, PIC16F1939 processor (32MHz, 28K flash, 1K RAM), FTDI USB.

What's the catch?  Python only runs on your laptop and communicates to the board over USB...

Bruce,

I have just skimmed through the PyMCU website. Is this uController a 32 bit Python controlled Arduino? Can it run a program while not connected to a laptop?

Thanks,

-mike

No, this is not an arduino.  It's based on a PIC.  Python runs on the laptop, not the uC.  Could theoretically do this on an arduino using firmata.

So it can't run a python app without being connected to a laptop, but can run programs written in other languages that compile to the PIC.
