When I first saw the Raspberry Pi, it was hard to get excited about it because it lacked the hardware interface support.

Not so the BeagleBone!  The new BeagleBone Black is now just $45.  Running a complete embedded Linux at 1GHz with every bit as much hardware interface capability as the Arduino, I now wish that I had cut my teeth on this puppy, rather than the Arduino!

Any interest in reviving the Microcontroller and Robotics group (in Pinellas for me) to poke at these puppies?

Thanks for the info on the BeagleBone.  I will check it out.

I would be very interested in a pinellas meeting.  With my mobility problems, I just can't be counted on to always be be available (as we found out with Dixie Hollens).
