Outing, Education, Potluck, etc.

Hi Everyone,

I have a few announcements. I'm feeling generous and made the summer outing I'm hosting in a few weeks free for anyone. If you or anyone you know wants to get out and do some different things this is an opportunity. There's no obligation to attend in the entirety, folks can come out for any part of it that they have time for or are interested in. I'll be doing some teaching and encouraging folks to try some specific techniques in various locations throughout the event. A few folks have asked about some lighting education and I'm working with Lynn on putting together a presentation that demonstrates the versatility of using inexpensive continuous lighting vs flash lighting. Date, time and location to be announced soon.

I'll be putting together another Potluck Photo Dinner Presentation soon and welcome your input for possible topics to discuss. I'll announce a date and time soon. In case you didn't notice it on the mytbcc website the recording of the last event covering basic black and white techniques is now available to watch there.

Hi Jim, 

I would have loved to have participated but I had back surgery last Wednesday and won’t be able to do the trip.  I so enjoyed it last year despite the demise of my GoPro and would encourage anyone to participate in it.  It was a blast & as always I learned a lot on any of Jim’s trips.

Hi Jim,

I would be interested in a simple lighting class that doesn’t involve a lot of fancy equipment, soft boxes, backdrops, etc.  I’m just a simple photography lady who doesn’t own fancy stuff & wants to save her marriage by not buying more photography stuff. 

I would be very interested in learning how to photograph lightening.  I know I might have to buy a trigger for it & hopefully that’s not to expensive.  

Thanks as always for being so generous with your time & your knowledge.  You are a real blessing to our club. 

I might be able to join in on some of the spring workshops so please keep me posted as you’re able.
