Whenwe launched the beta Members feature, member sign up, login and subscriptions were all handled by the site's theme. This means to get started you needed to download a theme with this functionality already built-in, or build something custom.

Beyond member sign up and login, Portal handles the full membership experience, with carefully designed validation, notifications and account management for your subscribers. Using Portal also means you'll get access to new features in Members in the future, without needing up upgrade your theme.

An API is an Application Programming Interface. It is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software and applications. A good API makes it easier to develop a program by providing all the building blocks, which are then put together by the programmer.

For each of the APIs links are provided to the associated syntax or Swagger documentation. Swagger is used to define a standard, language-agnostic interface to REST APIs which allows both humans and computers to discover and understand the capabilities of the service without access to source code, documentation, or through network traffic inspection. Other documentation and a client interface that demonstrates the associated API is also provided.

My name is Schaeffer Warnock and I am seeking help from a web specialist to help me implement a standard login feature for a Squarespace website and possibly train me on how to implement it in the future.

I am designing a website for my father. I have the design skills to make it look good but not the coding skills to implement a login. The company is an association in which construction contractors pay an annual fee to be apart of. In return, they get access to industry contacts, events, and discount codes on the website. I am in need of a login system where we give paid members login information in order to access the information listed above. Or make individual pages with the industry contacts, events, and discount codes that each member has to login to in order to access the page.

The Sentrylogin widget allows you to create the membership option, so you can restrict access to the pages where you have their code on. With that said, only registered users can access specific pages on your site.

We want to make integration with twitch drops and give to viewers beta codes for the game. As I understand,we use EventSub/Entitlement API and track which users get a reward and we can get users who get a reward.

How can we deliver an access code to the user? Should we send a code to the email (link twitch account to game account and use email from twitch account)? Or can we send a code in a twitch notification? Or on claim user can see an access code and use it later in the game? What is the best way to do that?

Running ocis init has created (or should have created) a new random password for that user (IDM_IDPSVC_PASSWORD or idp_password in the config file) and written it into the internal boltdb as well as the config file. Could you double check the /path/to/ocis.yaml contains an idp_password entry?

Ok. There have been a couple for backwards incompatbile changes not only with regards to the user management but also for the decomposedfs storage layout before we went into beta (note: During beta we try very hard to not introduce these kind of changes anymore).

This error is a bit misleading it happens because some ocis service try to contact the builtin LDAP interface before ocis is fully up (I just opened for this). It would point to a problem if you constantly get the error while running ocis.

The login with the admin pw is still not possible, but the error code in the UI changed from http 500 to http 400 and the ldap errors in the log are gone. As far as I understand it, we can start a search for the user credentials in the boltdb, but the results are still not successful. The root cause looks like some invalid OIDC redirect:
