The app will ask about your internet connection type, device brand, device color, and if it has a fingerprint scanner. Only the color will be asked again every time you open the app. The main menu is pretty bland as it only features a customizable theme and five buttons with outdated-looking icons. How To Use displays your settings and instructions on how to set up scan cycles for the app. Lock Screen contains the lock screen option setting, which is a measly checkbox for enabling it.

The Double-tap to lock screen gesture feature started having an interaction with the accessibilities settings on my Galaxy S21 and now fingerprint to unlock the phone from the lock screen is no longer available after I double tap to lock. The fingerprint lock and unlock is still enabled in the Galaxy settings and works with the default power button. However, double-tapping to lock and then unlocking with my fingerprint no longer works. Is there a way to fix this, the change was sudden?

Lock Screen - Fingerprint Support is a free security and privacy companion that allows you to safeguard your smartphone and tablet through an eight-numerical password, pattern, or fingerprint lock. Keep in mind though that the fingerprint function only works for some supported devices. With this tool, you can further protect any unauthorized usage of your gadgets.

Your eyes will also feast with tons of beautiful and elegant-looking password lock themes available for you to freely utilize. Lock Screen - Fingerprint Support can be an excellent alternative for Fingerprint Lock Screen, All Applock, and Lock screen password.

Thanks to its straightforward but still, elegant-looking user interface, you can set any lock screen with so much ease. To enable password security, you must first think and create numerical combinations with a maximum length of eighth numbers. Making a pattern key is easier though as you only need to connect the circled buttons to successfully emulate a lock screen.

Lock screen - Fingerprint support is a handy addition to your device in case that it doesn't have the ability to provide you further protection. With its extensive lock screen powers, you will be able to safe-keep your gadgets from potential intruders. It restricts them from easily invading your privacy as they have to unlock the set password, pattern, or fingerprint before all else.

I have been using the lock screen pattern for a little over a year now and I always remembered it so it was no biggie. Today, literally out of nowhere, my phone asks me to enter a password. I have no idea why it asked me this, so I tried entering a variety of passwords. All it does is lock the phone for 30 seconds before I can try entering another password once I've had too many tries.

I have no idea what password it wants from me, I only have so many and I tried all of them. It says: "Use password after restart (before I restarted it said Use password to unlock screen), Your password contains at least 4 characters, including at least 1 letter." What password?! See, that's why I hate installing updates, this is just bull*****. I also tried to unlock my phone using Find My Phone and it does not work as it is not connected to the network (I tried restarting it before and I guess that screwed me now). I honestly don't even know if a factory reset would work at this stage, since it does not show any notifications either (apart from: Phone restarted, Unlock your phone to get app notifications).

Today all of a sudden my phone locks me out and is asking for a password. I had no idea what password it wanted, then I read something about a password set up in settings and I remembered I set up a password in settings for my outlook email, I tried that password and my phone immediately unlocked and functioned normally again.

Kevin B - thank you for the above. I set up Outlook email on my new S22 ultra this week so will bear it in mind when mine next locks up. I've had this problem since I used a train charge socket last November (irrelevant but it never happened to me prior to then). I had a galaxy S10 then. Now got a new S22 ultra and sim but it still continually locks me out, won't recognise any password, and a relative has to re-set the password for me remotely. Ridiculous situation. Are Samsung looking at this?

Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank is a fun app that gives you a creative way of locking and securing your device. With this app, you can select the best screen lock that would suit your tastes and to make things better, it comes along with a variety of screen backgrounds and wallpapers. From patterns, to codes, and passwords, you can rest assured that your device is safe from other people.

While this app offers lots of ways to lock your phone, Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank does not really make your device capable of fingerprint scanning. Just as its name suggests, the app is meant for pranking and misleading other people that your device can only be accessed by scanning your registered fingerprint. There is nothing to worry about though because despite being merely a fingerprinting simulator, it features a bunch of other device lock screen options such as pins, passwords, and patterns, which are all customizable. These other lock options act like secondary security measures that back up your fingerprint simulator to give others the impression that your device is under strict and really complex security protocol. They can throw off and discourage any potential threats from people who would like to invade your privacy.

Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank is more than just a security tool. It also makes your phone look extra fabulous with its available wallpapers and screensavers. Users can you to add a firefly effect no matter which background you choose. Adding fireflies will give your screen that much-needed glow and ethereal look. That is to say that there are also backgrounds that are already animated and some even come with their own sounds and music! As mentioned, your overall lock screen is customizable so feel free to choose which lock would best work for you and which background image goes best with it. Font style can be changed too so you can adjust it to a font that you can easily read.

Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank is a nice and convenient combination of wallpapers and security locks. All of the background images are in a high-quality definition that will surely be a perfect fit for your device screen. You also do not have to worry about missing important messages and calls because your notification alerts will still be displayed even when the app is in use.

It would make it easier because now I have to press the power button (which is a little but difficult to press due to the soft case) and with the fingerprint reader a small touch would be just enough! It just quicker/easier :-).

I have configured the fingerprint in my Ubuntu 20.04 and rebooted the system. But still, I am not able to unlock the system with my fingerprint. Nothing happens when I touch the fingerprint image on the fingerprint. I have attached a snapshot of the configuration.

Since your Galaxy phone holds all your important information, make sure to protect it and keep things private. A great way to increase the security on your phone is by setting up a screen lock. You can use a few different screen lock types, such as fingerprint identification, face recognition, pattern, or password. This way, no one else will be able to access your device.

Once you've set up a biometric security feature, make sure that you have it set on your Lock screen. For example, you need to have Fingerprint unlock activated if you want to unlock your phone with your fingerprints. To do so, just tap your desired biometric feature, and make sure the appropriate switch (i.e. Fingerprint unlock, Face unlock) is turned on.

For extra protection, you can set up secure lock settings, such as an automatic screen lock when your Galaxy phone is idle. However, these settings won't show up until after you've already made a Lock screen.

From Settings, tap Lock screen, and then tap Secure lock settings. Enter your current lock screen credentials. Then, turn your desired Secure lock settings on or off by tapping the switch.

To set up Extend Unlock, navigate to and open Settings, then tap Lock screen, and then tap Extend unlock. From here, enter your lock screen credentials. The following options are available:

On-body detection: After you unlock your phone, it stays unlocked while it's in motion, like when you're walking with it. Your phone will stay unlocked for up to 4 hours or until you put it down. Tap the switch next to Use On-body detection to enable this feature.

Trusted places: After you unlock your phone, it stays unlocked as long as you're at or close to a trusted place. It will lock after 4 hours or when you leave your trusted place. To register a location, tap Add trusted place. Search for an address, browse the map, or choose a suggested address. Tap OK to add it to trusted places.

Trusted devices: After you unlock your phone, it stays unlocked when it's connected to a trusted device, like a Bluetooth watch or car system. Your phone will stay unlocked for up to 4 hours or until it disconnects from all trusted devices. To register a device, tap Add trusted device, and then tap Pair new device. Connect your desired Bluetooth device the way you normally would. You can also select a device from the list, if one is available. When Smart Lock is active, you can force your phone to lock anytime. Just open the Power menu and tap Lockdown.
