பட்டின மருதூர் சாணையக் கல்லில் மீன் வடிவில் சிந்து எழுத்து 

the fish species Lalmohania velutina has a prominent spine, which can be described as a thorn. It has a single, large, robust spine that makes up the first dorsal fin. The generic name for the family it belongs to (Monacanthidae, or filefishes) comes from the Greek words monos (only) and akantha (thorn or spine), referring to this characteristic. The body of the fish is covered in a smooth, velvet-like skin that has very small scales, each bearing tiny, posteriorly curved spinules (small spines).

மீன் - ச் , மேல் செதிலாக Z  - ஒ, மீன் கண் - ண், உடம்பில் கோடுகள் // - ண < -ன். இதில் உள்ள எழுத்துகள் ச்ஒண்ணன் > சொண்ணன் என்பது. சொண்  என்பதற்கு முள் என்ற பொருள் உண்டு.
