Sorry Thiru Nandhivarman , I was not in the staion for few days , more over I was so busy in my work.That’s why  I am not able to read your mail.Thanks for for your clarification of your name.Why I am  asked you means so for in tamilnadu justice party and dravida movements are headed by non tamilains.They talk and write about tamil but practically do not so any interest on Tamil developments.They are good actors.We already  seen such things in practical.They took tamil as a weapon to develop their movements.It is Thirumigu Maraimalai Adigal and many other tamil poets, and writers worked hard for tamil.It is C.N.Annadurai who took this weapon, who had  also a telugu familygrounds(see Guna’s book dravidathaal veezhnthOm). He is  learned man, good writer and also good orator.It is the 1965 situation(Hindi agition) brougt him into the power.But regarding to make tamil as official language made a great mistake.Still we have the problem in tamilnadu.Where as other states like karnatka,Andhra, Kerala,Maharastra,West Bengal and so on doesn’t have thesuch  problem. Now telugu speaking peoples asking to make telugu has the official language of tamilnadu.Telugu Peoples in tamilnadu they play great role tamilnadu politics,business and also in cine fields.They speaks nice tamil, at home in telegu.Where as we tamilians among ourselve speak and write in english .Then how can develop our language.

So for you use the word dravida they utilise it.But in the sameway tamils those who live in

other southeren parts of india cannot come togather with the other dravidians in the name of dravida.They never talk as dravidians,but proud to say as kannadiga,telugu and malayalee.

You have written about Poet Perunchithiranaar(Durai Manickam),I know about him

during when I was a member of  Thangavayal U.Tha.Ka.More over in 1983  I have invited

him to germany.Since I want to announce tamil sangam as the branch of U.Tha.Ka. and

want to celebrate 100th birthday anniversary of EVR.Mr.Veeramani suppose to come to germany but he came to london but not to germany.Perunchithiranaar a good poet but he is not having a good conduct.Even he to have a telugu family background.Why I am particular about background  because everytime if the tamil scope come to at the peekstage they somehow exploit it and break the goal of tamil.

EVR  never showed interest on tamil or its border.EVR, Anna and his Movement members and congress leaders never gave their support to recover Thirppathi,chithoor,Kudgu areas,areas in mysore,areas in banglore ,Kolar Gold Fields and some areas of kumarimaavattam.They never supported Ma.Po.C.Sivagnanam.He is the man who fought

for it.He recovered Madras, Thiruththani.Thalavaadi , Krishnagiri and hosur.

Recently karnataka making problems at hoganekal border.Still now telegu peoples talk about Madras ManathE.

Any one can  live any where but one must so love to the living place and peoples and do not

to exploit them.The slogan Yathum UrE Yavarum kELIr came because at that time many foreigners were lived in tamilnadu.

 

Tamils(ofcourse other Indians also) are suffering for the fast 2000 years from caste system.since end of third sangam age, tamil kings given more room to brahmins through the  position  as Raja Guru.

During the sangam age we tamils had gods for each region like KuRinji(Cheyon,kumaran or murugan,Mullai-MAlclass ,MAyOn,Mayavan-Karivan),Marutham-vEnthan,Neythal- vAraNan and Palai region  was KALi .It is the brahmins who made concocted tales to the hindu religion.According to tamil muruga is not the son of siva.

From 2nd century to 5th century black in tamil history.In this period you can see only struggle between Siva and vishnu believers.In the 7th century Pallavas brought Vinayaka to tamilnadu from Vathapi.Now vinayaka plays the great role as muruga among tamils.

We tamils must free from superstitious blief and from incomprehension.

 

It is the Lord Buddha who fought firsttime against Brahmins caste system .

 

EVR is not the first man who fought for the socially backwarded,depressed class peoples which divided into caste system in the name of Hindu(this name is not mentioned in vedic literature too)religion.That is why Pandithar Ayyothiadas  joined himself  in Buddhism

He is the first tamil poet Ayyothiadas who started Adi dravida jana saba .

In Buddhism you are respected has an human being.There is no lower or upper classes system.

Everybody are equally respected.Any one can have the priester position.

He told that if you say that you are an hindu that means you are accepting the caste system.

He started Adi dravida sangam or sabha in 1870.In 1892 it has been regisdtered as Adi dravida janasabai.And he Published the Magazine “Thamizhan”.Through this Magazine he

Wrote how we cheated and depressed through caste system socially and economocally by the brahmins.He wrote so many Poets,essays from 1860 to 1910  in his Magazine “Thamizhan”.He died in 1913.He’s idea was taken by the justice party and later on by EVR.  .Afterwards this Magazine Was published from kolar Gold Fields by Pandithamani G.Appaduraiyar who was the  Tamil Teacher for my father K.Perumal former founder of Adi dravida jana sabai in Kolar Gold Fields.

My father who is the man who fight to put an end to  the drummer and dancer while marching with the  death body to the cemetry. He is the man who fight to get BEML Factory to the Kolar Gold Fields Workers for there future.He was also one of the important orator for Adi dravida jana sabai,Self Respected movement.Once EVR self told that  Dr.B.R.Ambedkar right person for the depressed class Peoples.Kolar Gol Fields tamils joined under Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Indian fedration Party afterwards under name of Republican party we worked a lot  for the depressed class  peoples.

It is about 75 years of fight to get some how now we can live little peace of life.

Rettaimalai Srinivasan, the first Mayor of Madras Bar at law Mr.N.Siaraj are main Leaders who worked for the depressed class peoples.

Even now caste problems are still not completely abolished.In the tempels tamilis

not yet been accepted. Priesters are still only Brahmins .Still now they are playing superior role.One must understand we are not against to the Brahmins personally but we are oppose only Brahmnism.

They speak own style of tamil.For the bussiness purpose they utilise tamil, but in tempel

to worship,marriage ceremony  they use sanscrit.For that tamil is the neesha basha.

 

I am very particular about the names because by hearing names we can recognise

Which language group you are. So in this way one can recognise by hearing or by

Reading the names whether the person is a  german,english,french,spanish,portegese

Or turkeys , malayalaee, kannadiga .telegu.,bengali and so on.But by hearing names of tamils we cannot say whether is tamil or not.Because now a days tamils doesn’t like to have tamil names.So we tamils lost our identity of tamil names.Now a days we tamils have communication not through tamil but in English.How can tamil develop.

We tamils can be blievers of different religion but we must not forgot to have tamilnames.

Pongal is the only one non religious festival.We tamils can learn many languages but among

ourselve must try to speak write in tamil.Then only tamil will develop we cannot depend on our politicians or government.Each and every tamil must show interst on tamil.

First of all let me clarify one thing. I am not a Telugu or Kannadiga. I am a Tamizhan beyond any iota of doubt. Regarding the usage of Dravida in the party name, even Late Poet Perumchitranaar had argued with me on similar lines.

 

i told him Ayya my intial is N which stands for Nagarathinam, I cannot change my intial. Similarly I am a product of Dravidian Movement. Men who joined Dravidian Movement and gave up their lives for the cause of Tamils like Singa Thamizhan Chinnasamy and others who immolated themselves are in no way secondary Tamils. Just because Kalaignar drifted from the path of lofty ideals for which millions gave their lives I am not for chargesheeting a movement nor the million Tamils who sacrificed their lives to build that movement. Indian National Congress got an English name yet it retained it. Me too had a different name called Nandhidas, later realising Das stands for dasan i.e slave I changed it to Nandhivarman in 1962 and it is known to all now. Thereafter a controversy arose that Varman too is sankritised and I could not change because by that time Nandhivarman had become well known. To totally ditch every Tamil who pinned his or her hopes on Dravidian parties is not my aim. Because leaders failed we cannot blame cadres.

 

In the onward march of Tamil community , Dravidian movement has its contribution which cannot be totally denied. Let me prove that all in Dravidian movement have not betrayed Tamil cause. Like my parentage I cannot hide wherefrom I came, which movement groomed me idealogically. To the legacy which I inherited I must do justice. My actions, my writings and my goals for Tamil togetherness will be evaluated in the eve of my life, let history judge me when my obituary is written. Thanks for your comments, let people from Indian national movement, Communist Movement, Dravidian Movement and ThaniTamizh Iyakkam and casteist parties fighting for Tamil cause, all stand united ending blame game with one purpose and one aim i.e to unify Tamils for Tamil betterment universally.

The agraharam(Brahmin villages) has been introduced in tamilnadu paid so many aids for their developments.In Srilanka the Varmas even they forgotten their

kannada language but still they do only archchagar or Kurukkal profession in sanscrit

but not in tamil.Raja Raja Chozhan done only one  good thing that is by get back

the decayed tamil  chuvadies (Thevaram,Thiruvasakam...)from closed tempel room.

otherwise he gave more importants for sanscrit.Even Pallavas Gave importance for Pali and sanscrit.

Can you tell me in what respect stands your name Nandivarman and your dravida peravai.Why not Tamil Peravai?.Only we tamils talk about dravidians are one family group other family group like telugu,kannada and malayalam are not showing any interest on this.If your movement founded for the tamilnadu tamils why it is not named

tamil peravai intead of dravid peravai.It is a general question for clearane but not to hurt personally.

Dr.Ira.Thirumurugan is known as "ilakana sudar" In Tamil Nadu. He edits THELITHAMIZH a literary Tamil monthly. He heads Tamil Action group and will be seen in streets demanding implementation of Tamil medium of instruction and for other causes in Pondicherry. For instance to awaken Tamil Members of Parliament from slumber and to make them raise voice for tamilnadu specific issues in Parliament we conducted "Therumunai Palli ezhucchi" like Tirupalli ezhuchi and Dr.Ira.Thirumurugan presided over that novel form of protest, as Dinamani daily published its heading.
