There are constant earthquakes in Bay of Bengal near the vicinity of Andaman islands.There is a geofracture from Sumithra crossing through Burma and extending up to Himalayas.As a result in Tamilnadu too our coastline undergoes changes. Green house effect, melting of Antartica, sea level rise, continental drift, all are problems knocking our
doors. In Gujarat earthquake the death toll was high more due to building collapse. Multi storeyed buildings should not come in quake prone cities, I have been urging Tamil nadu and Pondicherry governments for 12 years. After the quake generated panic in Chennai yesterday, once again I had posted the warning in my blogs :
