Interesting hypothesis.

Yet, in the animal world the best athletes are produced by keeping bloodlines pure.

For example, all thoroughbreds -the finest athletes bred by humans- trace their ancestry to only three stallions, i.e.

  • the Byerley Turk (1680s),
  • the Darley Arabian (1704), and,
  • the Godolphin Arabian (1729).

Furthermore, only Group 1 and Group 2 winning colts are allowed to become stallions. The rest are usually gelded.

This ensures that the breed keeps getting better and faster.
