Hey, guys.

Our last meeting brought up a really interesting notion.  That our comic book could some day be a truly collaborative endeaver.  The truly web 2.0 notion might be to allow stories as well as graphics behind one or more of our issues to be made online with an entirely collaborative process.

Below is a call for entries for just such a world wide artistic project.  I think that we have a real shot of getting our comic book collaboration brought to people around the world who would work on it with us.  I happen to know the person in charge of the organization who is running the show.

Applying would involve submitting an application by March 15th.  JT, if you can get your "homework" in a good state by the first week of March then I'm pretty sure that T and I could put together a proposal.

Of course, we'd have to go into it thinking that we'd be rejected.  Thoughts?

Spring 2009 exhibition series

Here, There and Everywhere: Anticipating the Art of the Future.

Alert to the internet's dissolving of borders and the explosion of innovation through collaboration, TransCultural Exchange invites artists to work with individuals around the world to create new collaborative art works for a series of exhibitions and catalog entitled Here, There and Everywhere: Anticipating the Art of the Future.

Individual artists, curators and gallerists are invited to submit proposals for collaborative art works and exhibitions to be shown anywhere in the world, in addition to being featured at TransCultural Exchange's 2009 Conference on International Opportunities in the Arts.

Resultant collaborative projects will be included in TransCultural Exchange's catalog for Here, There and Everywhere:  Anticipating the Art of the Future, on TransCultural Exchange's website and at TransCultural Exchange's 2009 Conference on International Opportunities in the Arts, which will take place in Boston April 3 - 5, 2009.

For more information, please visit Here, There and Everywhere:  Anticipating the Art of the Future.

Applications for inclusion in the project are due March 15, 2008.
