Hi Guys!

Just wanted to remind y'alls that the Comic Artist group is scheduled
to meet up this Thursday at around 6pm in the Student Art Association
office @ MIT.
All artists participating in this issue of the comic should come by to
discuss progress, difficulties, etc.
I imagine that anyone else interested in participating, from the plot
staff, aspiring art contributors (for coming issues), or otherwise,
are invited to join us as well and chime in on the overall shape of
things thusfar.

Truth be told, we are getting close to the deadline, so anyone from
the plot-staff who would like to make any last minute changes to
dialogue or story structure should definitely post suggestions on the
board before the meeting, or come by in person and talk/hang out with
us. After this week, there will likely be no more room for structural
changes within this issue's story, only minor changes in dialogue.

Clay will not be able to make it this week as him and Lucy were
invited, at the last minute, to "perform" in their raven costumes at
the upcoming Berkman 10 conference this coming Thursday from 6-8pm, so
Clay has asked me to lead the meeting this time in place of him.

Basically, as I already mentioned, we are going to focus on
documenting (via meeting notes and a digital camera) progress made
since our last meeting, as well as working out any obstacles or
difficulties anyone is encountering, and addressing the issue of
consistency within this type of project (where we have multiple
artists working on one comic).
Also, after getting a feel for working time in the past couple of
weeks, we should be ready to rework the completion deadline and
possibly work out a schedule with small milestones that Clay can use
to check up on each of us in the coming weeks.
Lastly, we will schedule our next meeting, so think about your
availability in the coming weeks before we meet after tomorrow.

Again, thats Thursday, the 15th, at 6pm, in the SAA room/office @ MIT

See you guys there!

p.s.
I will be bringing some chips and salsa or some other tasty snack to
share.

Have a great meeting guys!  Sorry that I'm going to miss it.

Attached is my first draft of the supermarket introduction pages.  I intend to fill it in with more details once I see the final version of Marcel's likeness.  Nicole has offered to help me make it look like Marcel instead of Lucy.

Also, just cause my draft is in color doesn't mean that ya'll should be making color images (except for the cover.)  No need to make this process more difficult unless you all really really want to.  It might be nice if the intro pages are in color since they're really a separate story.  But I'd only think that that was a good idea if it didn't cost any more to print.

I'm looking forward to hearing how things are going.

have you all relocated??
there's no one in the SAA!
If I don't find you, can you please send out snapshots of what there is so
far (visually)? I'll be working on the cover, and would love to see how
to best integrate the rest of the work.

thanks!

Hi Sadie! and everyone else...

I got here like 15 min late---apologies---and from asking around it looks like sam came by and left but is around campus somewhere. I am gonna hang around for another 15 min or so and wait for him, if you are on campus, you are welcome to come by still.
I will definitely post whatever I photograph today and write up some notes--assuming anyone else shows up.

If not, would you guys like to reschedule for sometime this weekend?
I feel really terrible for possibly being the cause of this not working out.
We can meet here or maybe at clear conscience cafe either before or after my shift on saturday?

Let me know what you think.

Sadie, I just uploaded one more character sketch--of Britney. It's not
very fully developed but I was sure to include a definite silhouette
and fairly detailed facial structure. I couldn't decide on her
cheerleading uniform though :( I'll probably post a new version soon--
or anyone else can feel free to choose her costume- just make sure to
post your drawing asap so that I can copy your costume idea, cause I
also have a couple of frames with britney in them.
