Iwas recently experimenting with making adjustments to my Paint Brush tool under the "more" tab next to the "hardness" selector. After unsuccessfully creating a new brush, I reset the options. Now the brush tool does absolutely nothing. Doesn't work in masks, doesn't work by simply trying to paint different colors. Ive triple checked everything, opacity is 100%, flow 100%, Hardness adjustments, etc etc.

please help that picture above showing the brushes panel i do not see at all even when i click the brush ... why is that ... it was an issue i had when purchasing the program ... i cant see any option for brush strokes color etc.

Adobe Photoshop provides several tools for painting and editing image color. The Brush tool and the Pencil tool work like traditional drawing tools applying color with brush strokes. Tools like the Eraser tool, Blur tool, and Smudge tool modify the existing colors in the image. In the options bar for each of these painting tools, you can set how color is applied to an image and choose from preset brush tips. See Painting tools gallery.

You can save a set of brush options as a preset so you can quickly access brush characteristics you use frequently. Photoshop includes several sample brush presets. You can start with these presets and modify them to produce new effects. Many original brush presets are available for download on the web.

Save tool presets when you want to store customized brush tip characteristics along with settings from the options bar such as opacity, flow, and color. To learn more about tool presets, see Create and use tool presets.

Along with settings in the options bar, brush tip options control how color is applied. You can apply color gradually, with soft edges, with large brush strokes, with various brush dynamics, with different blending properties, and with brushes of different shapes. You can apply a texture with your brush strokes to simulate painting on canvas or art papers. You can also simulate spraying paint with an airbrush. You use the Brush Settings panel to set brush tip options. See Brush Settings panel overview.

If you work with a drawing tablet, you can control how color is applied using pen pressure, angle, rotation, or a stylus wheel. You set options for drawing tablets in the Brush Settings panel and options bar.

To combine different types of cursors, select Show Crosshair In Brush Tip or Show Only Crosshair While Painting. Or, for the Pen and Brush tools, press the Caps Lock to toggle between the standard cursor and the cross hair.

Sets the method for blending the color you paint with the underlying existing pixels. Available modes change with the currently selected tool. Paint modes are similar to layer blending modes. See Blending modes.

Sets the transparency of color you apply. As you paint over an area, the opacity does not exceed the set level no matter how many times you move the pointer over the area, until you release the mouse button. If you stroke over the area again, you apply additional color, equivalent to the set opacity. Opacity of 100 percent is opaque.

Sets the rate at which color is applied as you move the pointer over an area. As you paint over an area, while holding down the mouse button, the amount of color builds up based on the flow rate, up to the opacity setting. For example, if you set the opacity to 33% and the flow to 33%, each time you move over an area, its color moves 33% toward the brush color. The total will not exceed 33% opacity unless you release the mouse button and stroke over the area again.

Simulates painting with an airbrush. As you move the pointer over an area, paint builds up as you hold down the mouse button. Brush hardness, opacity, and flow options control how fast and how much the paint is applied. Click the button to turn on or off this option.

(Pencil tool only) Paints the background color over areas containing the foreground color. Select the foreground color you want to erase and the background color you want to change to. (See Auto Erase with the Pencil tool.)

Photoshop performs intelligent smoothing on your brush strokes. Simply enter a value (0-100) for Smoothing in the Options bar when you're working with one of the following tools: Brush, Pencil, Mixer Brush, or Eraser. A value of 0 is the same as legacy smoothing in earlier versions of Photoshop. Higher values apply increasing amounts of intelligent smoothing to your strokes.

The Paint tool has two main interface panels. The Paint Library is used for creating new and selecting existing brushes. The Paint Settings allows fine tune adjustment to your currently selected brushes.

Density is directly related to object padding. If greater density is needed and increasing density appears to have little effect, reducing the padding amount to negative values can help in increasing the density of the brush.

I did a quick search on this and didn't find anything related. Make the paint brush tool a possible selection when CYCLING through the tools. Most people know you can hold shift and right click to bring up the tools palette but that requires you to move the mouse and click to choose the paint brush. The same people probably know that by pressing the tab key you can cycle through the tools (if automatic tool selection is unlocked). I know I'm getting kind of picky, but I prefer to do any action possible with the keyboard instead of the mouse (within the left side of the keyboard anyways).

I have never used processing before and started learning it a bit to help a friend in their course as they have never done any coding before. One of the assignments was to make a simple paint tool that lets you change the color and brush size that you are using. To do this we made a sidebar at the bottom that had all of the color and brush size options which worked fine. I decided I wanted to try moving the brush sizes to a separate sidebar on the side so that there would be more room for more color options and more brush sizes.

The issue I have run into is now whenever I click one of the brush sizes both sidebars get completely filled in with whatever color I have selected. This completely covers all of the buttons in both sidebars so the user can't see the icons to change colors or brush sizes anymore. I cannot figure out what it is that is causing this issue and everything I have tried to change so far hasn't changed it. I'll attach the code and screen shots of program running to better illustrate what I am trying to describe as I am aware I may not have been super clear. Once you call stroke()/strokeWeight(), by default, the settings are applied globally. When you selected the thickest stroke, currently, everything else in the sketch will have the same stroke weight.

Will it save my dried out old brushes with paint on them?

It's quite possible that this will revive even the worst brushes with dried paint. Simply apply the brush soap onto the surface and let it sit for 24 hours to break down the paint. The lather and rinse.
