Talos Rowing was developed originally on a Nexus One. The fastest the Nexus One would produce was an acceleration event once every 50ms. The programmer - ehm.. - has since forgotten that line in the code which pretty much asked the android device to send acceleration, orientation events as fast as possible. This is why the graphs are so jittery on some devices - because they may arrive at 10ms spacing and sometimes at 'burst' speed.

The new version is available for early downloading and testing (nudge nudge, wink wink) from http://nargila.org/trac/robostroke/raw-attachment/wiki/AndroidRelease_0_9_7/talos-main-227.apk.

Changes:
  1. default sensor refresh rate is set to 50ms each for acceleration and orientation
  2. stroke amplitude change factor (in settings -> advanced -> stroke) is set to 0.05
  3. you can choose a higher refresh rate if you really want (in settings -> advanced -> sensors), you will need then to reduce 2. above to 0.035 or lower
  4. rowing detector (RowingDetector.java) tries to filter-out duplicates - how does it look with your own rowing style/boat configuration?
Thanks
