The City of Sacramento – Neighborhood Services Division invites you to attend our annual Youth Job and Resource Fair on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sacramento City Hall, Plaza Area. Last year, a total of 45+ city departments, organizations and businesses participated in this event to provide employment information and resources to more than 700 Sacramento youth. The goal of this annual event is to create a central location for young people ages 16-24 years to assemble and collect resources about upcoming summer and year-round internships and/or employment opportunities. This year, we anticipate the same level of participation and look forward to seeing you there. In preparation for the Youth Job and Resource Fair, Neighborhood Services will host a Job Readiness Workshop for youth on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Sacramento City Hall. Topics will cover resume development, interview tips, resume review and mock interviews. We encourage all youth to bring a copy of their resume as staff will be on hand to review and any answer questions they may have about their resume. Do you know of anyone who needs to complete community service hours or is looking for volunteer opportunities? We are in need of volunteers to assist with the Youth Job and Resource Fair on Saturday, March 17th in various capacities. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Some roles and responsibilities will require heavy lifting, standing, and walking.
