Hello Tallac Village Neighbors,
The owner of the grocery store at Tallac Village Shopping Center (14th Ave & 60th St) has applied to the city for a permit to convert to a liquor store. As you probably know, there is already a liquor store at this location. If you agree that this is unacceptable and that there is far more potential for this site, I encourage you to contact City Councilmember Guerra via his District Direct, Christine Roybal at cro...@cityofsacramento.org. Below is the email I sent this morning if you would like to use it as reference.
Thanks!
Michael

Hello Christine,
Please let Councilmember Guerra know that I strongly object to the permit application of the grocery store at Tallac Village Shopping Center to be permitted as a liquor store. Currently, there is an existing liquor store at this site. It is unacceptable for this neighborhood to have two liquor stores within one shopping center in leu of a grocery store. The current grocery store has an abundance of alcohol and doesn't appear to be operating within the guidelines of a legitimate grocery store, and I do not believe this business in in the best interest of the neighborhood. In addition to opposing the permit, I would request that the current store be investigated to ensure that it meets the necessary requirements of it's current permit.
Thank you!
