Gary, what a great synopsis of Tall Timber, especially molly's shoes. But do you remember the music on the PA system? I cant believe that I memorized the words to the Andrew Sisters singing "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon" ( i had to look up the spelling) They played that song over and over again. I also remember one of the Schecter boys, the youngest I believe, jabbing a sickle in my arm because I stepped in his fort during color war preparation. Their team lost points because dangerous tools were left around for young kids to get into. I survived, but bled a lot...no stiches but I still have a small scar. I call it my Tall Timber "tattoo". Thanks for stirring up the memories and making me smile.
