Hello supporters of Talking Radical,

In the months since my last update, I have been hard at work, though
mostly on things that I'm not able to talk about at this point. But I'm
writing to announce a new, small, ongoing project called Talking
Radical: Resources.

In these short, monthly interviews, activists and organizers from across
so-called Canada will connect you with ideas and with resources for
learning related to struggles for justice and collective liberation.
They will talk about how they themselves have learned, and about ways
that you can learn from the grassroots work that they are involved in.
The interviews will be text only, no audio, and will be published by
*The Media Co-op*.

The first interview is with chantale garand, a queer, non-binary,
two-spirit Métis organizer based on Treaty 1 in Winnipeg. They have been
involved in a wide range of grassroots political work, though these days
the main focus for their energy is the Métis abolitionist and sovereign
future dreaming collective Red River Echoes. You can find that interview
here: https://mediacoop.ca/node/119174

As was the case with Talking Radical Radio, I am keen to hear your
suggestions. Who would you like to hear talk about the learning that can
happen from, in, and for struggles for collective liberation?

And since I am writing to you anyway, I thought I would also share
another short piece that I wrote in late September. Some reactions that
I saw to the anti-trans/anti-queer demonstrations that took place across
the country on September 20 suggested to me that a lot of people don't
really get how the more extreme elements of the right have for years
used carefully targeted actions and extensive lying to build their base
in the service of advancing much broader agendas of violence and harm.
So I wrote a few thoughts about that:

Thanks for reading!
