Hello supporters of Talking Radical,
I know I sent something out just a couple of days ago, but I have a
new article that I want to share. A lot of us, in this grim
political moment, are feeling the need to *do* something...but for
many of us, it's not at all clear what or how. So I talked to a
bunch of activists and organizers from my city -- Hamilton, Ontario
-- to get concrete, practical, local suggestions answering, "What
can I do?" This will, I hope, be useful to other folks in Hamilton.
But I hope it will also be of interest to people living elsewhere,
partly as a sort of inspiration as you figure out the kinds of
organizations, groups, projects, and campaigns you can either look
for or start in your own community, but even more so because the
answers include some sobering but important reflections on what it
even means to be active in this moment.

As always, I encourage you when possible to engage with the original
publication of the article at The Media Co-op. But, of course, Meta
is still blocking accounts based in Canada from sharing news sources
to Facebook and Instagram, and if you want to share it there, you
can use the re-posted version on my personal site:

Thanks for reading,
