Hello, readers and listeners!

In each of the last few years, I've written an article for The Breach discussing social movement victories in the context of so-called Canada over the previous twelve months. (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024)

This email is to ask you for suggestions of grassroots wins that took place in Canada in 2025.

What movement victories – large or small, local or provincial or national – have you heard about? Have local organizers pushed your city council to take positive measures around housing, climate, anti-racism? Have you and other students pushed your university administration to divest from fossil fuels? Have workers and community members blocked attempts to privatize or cut services? Has there been an anti-deportation campaign that has successfully defended someone in your city? What about any local anti-fascist wins on the streets? Campaigns that won improvements in employment standards or environmental regulations? What about efforts to defend gender-affirming care?

I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks,

    Scott 8)
