Hello supporters of Talking Radical,
I'm writing today to share the second in my new occasional series of
interviews featuring activists and organizers from across so-called
Canada connecting you with ideas and resources for learning related to
struggles for justice and collective liberation. In this one, I talk
with Montreal-based musician and organizer Stefan Christoff. He talks
about his own experience of learning from Indigenous land defenders and
from community radio, about the importance of clear demands and about
"finding space for reflection in music and other creative outlets as a
way to find a pathway to sustain the struggle", and lots of other
things. Check it out here:

I am also writing to ask for input: What social movement and grassroots
community victories caught your attention in 2023?
I'm asking because for the last two years I have done an article for
*The Breach* listing some grassroots victories that took place in the
context of so-called Canada over that year. I've been keeping an eye out
throughout the year, but I know that I only notice a small fraction of
the wins that happen. So what have grassroots groups, social movements,
and communities-in-struggle accomplished locally where you are or
elsewhere within the Canadian state?
You can check out the article from 2021 here:

And here's the one from 2022:

Thanks for all of your suggestions!
