Hello, supporters of Talking Radical!

As promised in my last update, here is the latest installment in my
series of interviews about learning in, from, and for social movements.
I speak with Emma Jackson. She is a climate, migrant justice, and
Palestine solidarity organizer based in Treaty 6 territory in Edmonton.
She spoke with me about learning through struggle, the power of mass
action, the importance of confronting racism and xenophobia head-on, and
lots of other things.

Unfortunately, Meta is still blocking people from sharing links from
Canadian media outlets on Facebook and Instagram, so if you want to
share it on either of those platforms, you can use the Talking Radical
link:

I also want to remind you about The Media Co-op's sustainer drive. Due
to changes at our credit union, we lost a number of monthly donors that
were important to letting us keep paying grassroots journalists for
their work, and we're looking to sign up ten new monthly donors to make
up for that. You can find more details and learn how to sign up here:

Also, I've started putting together my annual article on social movement
victories in Canada in the past year. I keep my own list through the
year, but I know I miss plenty. So what social movement victories have
*you* seen — big or small, local or national, in your town, in your
province, elsewhere in Canada — in 2024?

Thanks for reading,
