Hi all. I’m inclined to swap out the current Twitter API module in
tpuf for one that’s up-to-date and actively maintained. Suggestions?

One of these?: http://dev.twitter.com/pages/libraries#java

twitter4j is pretty much the standard in Java-land these days. I'd
recommend moving that way.

Hi Mark. Since you wrote tpuf’s Twitter API, and you work at Twitter,
I think your Twitter4J recommendation settles it. Thanks.

After a long day, I have tpuf converted to Scala 2.8 (thanks, Leif),
and working with OAuth thanks to Twitter4J. There’s more work to do.
Lots of code is still commented out.

Leif (or anyone), leave a note here and jump in if you have some time
in the text ten hours or so. Look for // todo in the code.
