NLS HumanWare Braille E-reader information search

Sorry for the cross-posting, but I think it’s worth it. I just received an NLS HumanWare Braille E-reader from my local (Colorado) Braille and Talking Book Library. So far, I’m really loving it. However, I have two specific questions:

1) I paired it as a Braille display to my iPhone XR running IOS16.1. I also have a Logitech K380 keyboard paired with this phone. When the E-reader was operating as a Braille display and keyboard, The K380 acted very strangely, and I wasn’t able to type with it.

2) I am deafblind, and want to pair my E-reader with an Apple Watch. What series do I need to get to do this with? My goal is to be able to get messages in crowded settings and be able to communicate when I can’t hear. Is anyone doing this? How’s it work?
