Listening points:
I believe that socially conscious Americans (that is still the majority) are grasping for the perspective and defining language for the whole paradigm that health care encompasses.
It occurs to me that there is sufficient evidence out there to prompt questions that once would have been absurd but are now become legitimate.
Is it possible for our President and elected officials to even speak as government?
Is President Obama simply a paper tiger without real power?
Who is in charge of seeing to the public welfare?
The ultimate question frames itself upon noting the 3/4 billion dollars spent by private business to purchase the votes of Congressmen and the President.
Is the usurpation of our democratically elected government by private money now completed?
How many can relate to this personal anecdote?
In near poverty as a result of businessmen gambling my pension
funds away, I personally have been wrestling with the awareness that my
well being, my very life has become conditional on the arbitrary
application of my Medicare supplement private health insurance
provisions. And I am lucky. Most younger people are completely
dependent on the mercy of private insurance.
My Medicare is fine; never a glitch, just as has been my Social Security.
My private supplemental insurance has been near cancellation twice in the past year by claimed "systems errors." There are no laws that prevent it from being canceled simply because I have begun to file large claims. And there is no law that mandates same premium policies be offered should it be canceled.
